Much of the freight that the Morningstar guys carry is going East-West in Canada and never goes to the US. I commuted out YYZ which has a sort facility. Those guys do some rough hub turns with multiple legs going across the country. I believe the reason we don’t fly that is because it is mostly (if not all) inter-Canada.

Our flying hours are still higher than before ASL. If the routes are under performing, let them put a 737 on it.

The point is, WE should be doing that flying.
If it’s in 737’s, fine, type us. Wouldn’t be that hard to do. We even have the payrate in our CBA. |
What part of the TNT merger said we had to grow the TNT/ASL 737 operation?
Yeah, not a single part of it. You using a vague EU requirement to not reduce jobs to argue that we shouldn’t be mad if management elects to grow them instead of us…. You are the definition of feckless. |

That ship apparently sailed when we bought TNT. The EU wouldn’t let us fly everything, steal all of the EU flying jobs. The union said that’s what the TNT deal required. Don’t blame me. Our 777s took all of the ASL 747 routes. You probably weren’t around to witness the donnybrooks between TNT and FDX crews in CDG and LGG? I agree that I don’t want to lose any flying, you’re not getting those jobs with a magical sentence thrown into the CBA.
There is still a lot of flying we can lose going forward. That is the flying we should be fighting to protect, this time around. It's not 'stealing EU flying', it is flying our company's freight on routes we operated for over a decade. I get you want to retire under this upcoming CBA with a better pension, makes sense. I am also able to go under this next CBA if I go as planned at 55, but still I'm not willing to Vote Y and leave the fight for better scope and to protect our current int'l flying to the next round. It will definitely be too late by then. The fact that company stooge oncewasNoWork is echoing your every post, should clue you in to your stance. |

Don’t break their heart and tell them they can’t write rules that overrule other countries law. We are Americans we control everybody…. Haha
