Wake Up has gotten old. Just like know your worth.

Until now you have only been here during the good times. Everyone drinking champagne and cashing big checks. I have been here through quite a few bad times. Can tell you it got pretty ugly. The reaction/response by the Senior Leadership has been the same.

Look at Tesla the darlying of Wall street. Not meeting numbers and a slow down in sales. Plenty of layoffs and belt tightening. You think the loyal Tesla employees were told when they were hired that they would lose their jobs? I bet they were told they will be part of a new revolution in cars and that Tesla will be the leading car maker in the world and that their future will be bright!

Elon has enough money to keep them all employed, he must be the second coming of scrooge not keeping them on the payroll.

Unethical or just life in big business.

Yuko, If you do not know not worth expalining it to you.

How's that? Please explain. So let's say he did vote yes..........that was his right. How's he going to be sorry for that? Seems to me those that voted "no" own the narritive right now and I don't see a lot of solutions except for "let's just let the RLA play out." What does that look like? Even JG (who I have A LOT of respect for) says it will be a "daunting task." His Fly-by-night podcast wasn't confident inspiring to me.

It is about realizing how voting down weaker Scope mattered, genius.

The Scope that the outgoing, company-friendly NC said "but, the company would never do that, they want us flying that freight...", would have some of us on the street by now. Get it?

Oh yeah, I forgot Atlas is not allowed to purchase more 737s or that Amazon won't ever drop them as a freight provider. You're acting like FedEx would replace the whole domestic network in one night... the reality is they would keep slowly chipping away at FedEx pilot jobs just a few planes at a time, even if that horrid TA had passed.

Stan, how's that Amazon 737 contract looking at Atlas? Sure is a shame that your beloved TA1.0 didn't pass, I bet Atlas is thinking it would be nice if they could pick up a domestic FedEx contract to fill that void. Maybe we'll see them snag some of our international routes instead?

"Atlas Air will give up 17 Boeing 767-300 converted freighters and its entire fleet of Boeing 737-800 cargo jets, according to several pilots relaying news presented by CEO Michael Steen during a company town hall on Thursday. Under contracts scheduled to expire in 2026, Atlas provides crews, routine maintenance and insurance (CMI). Amazon is responsible for providing the aircraft, fuel and cargo.

The 17 Boeing 767s operated by Atlas Air are owned by Atlas Air Worldwide’s leasing subsidiary, Titan Aviation, and leased to Amazon. The e-tailer, which separately hired Atlas to fly the aircraft, can now sign a CMI contract with another operator and have the aircraft transferred to its new partner. Amazon directly controls the eight 737-800s, which are leased from the Bank of Utah and are also expected to be placed with another cargo airline."

At least according to this article, those 737s belong to Amazon, not Atlas. So Atlas will not be able to use them to fly FedEx freight.

Atlas will still have those 737 pilots and a functional 737 training program.... if ASL can find 737s to fly our freight, Atlas could have too.

Atlas has been on the hunt for more large cargo aircraft for awhile bringing a few on line last year eight more projected this year and whatever else they can muster up strategically. Atlas will just lease whatever frames remain under Titan. It seems they finally divested the low profit margin arena early which helps to accommodate their focus on the high profit value of the 74s and the Triple being the future rock of the company. Just my two cents, but we finally seem to be leaving that whipsaw corner and it's none too soon. International long haul contracts hands down.

*Just speculation- doubtful time or much more effort will be wasted with the 73 based on where the $ is and if so maybe short lived at best but who knows. We can now resume A350 rumors just for the heck of it.

HONDURAS

Guys— looks like we’re saved thanks to Honduras! The latest update from PD makes it seem like the one 75 going down there warrants 50% of the communication from our management. Don’t worry about the massive over staffing and lack of flying coming this fall. It’ll all be okay thanks to our new Latin American station 👍🏼
