700 pilots have absolutely left since costing out TA1.

The day TA1 failed, I checked the ALPA total headcount; it was 5813 total pilots. Today’s ALPA number is 5299, a difference of 514 pilots.

I’m with you! I’m also a UPSer, and I hope we can pattern off what they think we’re getting, and then they can pattern off what we actually get.

Im at Delta, but I have family members at Purple so I keep a vested interest at what’s going on here. I chuckle sometimes when I see the perspective of how amazing the grass is greener sentiment that pops up. I can’t tell you how many guys here wish they had a pension and vacation dropped trips.

And If you read our forums, message groups, and Facebook during our negotiations last time, you would also believe that we were in absolute turmoil and the world was ending.

I hope the pilots at FedEx get a great contract. I do believe it will happen. Just hope it’s sooner than later. Good luck gents

How many planes did Delta park to outsource their flying in the last negotiating cycle?

Some of us have actually rolled around on both sides of the fence and actually know where the better grass is.

It’s easy to cherry pick the stuff you want but don't have and say it’s a better deal.

Now see how many people at Delta want substitution, no reroute pay, RA/RB, makeup banks, and an open time and draft (greenslip) system with zero transparency based on the whims of crew scheduling.

Zero. Not sure what you are implying here.

We fight a different battle over scope with regards to codeshares, JVs, and regionals. But they aren’t apples to apples.

I am not in any way saying this isn’t a rough battle for you guys and gals. Or giving excuses on what fedex management is doing at the moment. I would have voted no on your last TA (I read it).

I agree and it’s a fair point.

ironically a lot of guys here that want the cherry picked items don’t have a clue on the negatives. that goes both ways.

April of '23 the plug was 6009. We now have 5296. So 713. Which means they need to be costing out a new TA with 700 less pilots. Soon to be 200 more in December.
