Many of those same people find it a bit off-putting the amount of money they pay to retain such "representation"... especially while being forced into making go/no go decisions at their local Kroger.

Look if you want to believe "nobody backing down" means pizza parties, lanyards, tough emails, and taking articles of clothing off at work.. that's great, I genuinely support your right to put stock in those actions. That said, I think it would behoove you to realize many out there see that kind of thing as nothing more than, as you so eloquently put it, "talking sht".
Fair enough. Explain to all of us how making massive concessions when the rest of the industry prospers makes any sense. I’ll wait my man.

Oh, and pls don’t omit from your explanation the actual truth here which is your retirement bump and stage left is your main priority.

All you clowns who continue to rail on the MEC while they call the company’s bullsht over and over again should really think again on your “no progress” line of reasoning. You sound ridiculous.

PS - I’m well aware you can’t quit the union. But you can pay dues and shut up because you provide no value with your reasoning.

Well that's pretty easy, we shouldn't. I'm not supporting TA1 now and I voted against it then. And since you brought it up, under current FAA regulations I have about 3 decades before I retire.

Anyway, at the risk of sounding ridiculous, maybe you'd like to enlighten me and my fellow harlequins on all the "progress" we've overlooked?

Let's start with bargaining in good faith. When the company costs the TA the exact same way with 700 fewer pilots it explains very clearly why we aren't moving forward. Is that the fault of the guys that stepped up to fight for a contract for EVERYONE and not just Block 1 and 2? Are they foolish to stand firm until a contract that can ratify presents itself? In your world we just roll over and accept table scraps, right?

If you really have 3 decades left before you retire, and I don't doubt you, you should seriously consider working somewhere else. The old FedEx is gone. The new FedEx will treat you poorly for the next 3 decades. If I were in your shoes, I would have left already.

Just some friendly advice, you can take it or leave it.

Listen to the fly by night podcast. Marty H says the quiet part out loud. Planning is purposefully pinching every penny to keep us in 4a2FU and the Operational side of the house has a blank check to fix the problems Planning creates. They’d actually save money if Planning wasn’t playing this horse$hit game. That’s the company we work for. They’re doing this on purpose. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Run away from this dumpster fire and don’t apply to work here. If I’m getting 4a2FU’ed in 2026 I’ll go to PSA. Literally 1 year pay at any legacy is more than I make in 4a2FU in my widebody seat and equipment. That’s pathetic. This place blows.

If this isn’t a wake up call… I don’t know what is. Hopefully a lawsuit can be filed when and if we get a TA. We are in this situation, and yet… we have scabs still answering the phone

Preach it! I think the message is proliferating to the ignorant pilots who wear a tie into AOC and and quickly strip it off. For those out there that think oh I need to wear my tie cause I don’t look professional. Look at the way your company has treated you for 5 years and ask if that’s professional? Also, you’re not an airline pilot. Why we wear a uniform I don’t know. I’m adding Mr T gold chains to my “uniform” sans tie.

I pity the fool.

"Progress" just for the sake of progress is an idiotic, short-term, counterproductive objective and a metric of literally nothing of substance when it comes to negotiating a contract that will be worthy of ratification.
