Given that 4a2c is a direct result of the manipulation of BLG's, and given that the schedule is unflyable without draft and extension, the pilots who are accepting these trips are LITERALLY stealing pay directly from the lines of their coworkers.

That's it. Period. Until we call this what it is and demand accountability we will continue to make no progress.

But if he were making progress then who cares right? But if there's zero progress and HE appears to be the impediment then what?

You should call you rep - ask if our NC Chairman cancelled negotiations with the Company and what his plan is (because the current MEC has zero say in what the NC does) to actually get a TA. It ain't going to happen from self-help.

I would take the current NC chairman over the last one who put us in this mess to begin with.

So glad you got this thread back on topic so we can get back to blaming Pancake Man for everything! That’s the ticket!

My pleasure. I’m glad we can agree on that!

I was wondering why we haven't been given an update about the company's response as JG had promised two weeks ago at the Hub Turn meeting. Sounds like the ball is in his court.

Not sure why the sarcasm is necessary.

I'm trying to point out/reinforce/remind/explain to the slow among us (and it seems there are many), that their co-workers are STEALING. From them. Daily.

I cannot believe that I go to work and everyone just acts like this is all normal. If you caught these same people stealing from your house there would be police, fights, gunplay, whatever. This "white collar" (yellow collar in many cases) theft is being tolerated ad nauseam.

What, exactly, is it going to take to make this group self-police?

If only we had some kind of galvanizing construct made up of the entire pilot group that could utilize the leverage of that collective to push back against predatory management tactics when so obviously appropriate. You'd need accountable leadership of course, to advocate for the collective. Their job would be to reinforce the value of its membership and not allow the people within their organization to dilute said value. I bet guys would even be willing to dedicate a percentage of their salaries to fund the whole thing!

Anyway, probably just wishful thinking.

Sarcasm yes, but not directed at you. Directed at anyone reading your post that can’t connect the dots. As this issue is concerned, and there’s plenty more, we are most definitely in agreement. What is it going to take? Leadership and accountability. This can (and should) be accomplished in a professional way. It will need to start with the Union to ensure standardization and understood expectations. The story that we have no ability to rein this in because of “group action”, “historical norms”, or “standard precedent” died with the institution of 4a2c.
