I agree. This was done as an inside job. Why did it happen? We don’t know and seems like we won’t get answers. If JG was misrepresenting the MEC and the group as a whole then why didn’t they address it before going into their own rogue action? But to now find cause to blow up the union again? This I don’t see as the prudent action to combat what was just executed. Hopefully and explanation or causality becomes more clear in the coming days. I’d suggest reaching out to your block rep and expressing your opinion on it. To make sure they understand what sentiment and thoughts are coming from the segment they were elected to represent.

Reps from all the blocks that were in favor of this change have laid out every single reason why it happened. If "you don't know and won't get answers", it's because you fail to read anything outside of social media or from CT and CC. The answers have been given to you.
Section V, Paragraph B (2):
Replacement of Negotiating Committee Members
Should it become necessary to replace the chair of the committee, the entire committee
should be replaced.
Not only should Reps for Blocks 1, 3, 6, 8, 9, 10 & 12 be RECALLED; so should the MEC Chair.

This was a COUP pure and simple. No discussion or debate and the Policy Manual WAS NOT followed.

I'll wait while you explain that one.

So, what is the difference between Monday and the first Monday in March 2024?

I could be wrong, but the "rules" (policy manual) can be "suspended" with a ⅔ vote in many parliamentary governance structures. It wouldn't surprise me if the Fed ex alpa policy manual permitted this. If so, the policy manual would not appear to have been violated.
There are several times in the policy manual that the ⅔ vote is mentioned as an override like you mentioned.
