And for the record, I want to see you guys get the contract you deserve. Lots of buddies at Purple, rising tide and all that…
Clearly you get it. The purple guys making the argument that you are responding to still think it's 2002. You're eloquently making the point that many of us have been trying to explain for years while we are told that pay rates don't matter all of the sudden. At least we get to tell our non-airline neighbors that we fly widebody jets. THANK YOU for a thoughtful and meaningful post in this swamp of garbage.

For a laugh, most of the guys making this argument have two things in common: 1. A rejection letter from a legacy airline. 2. A leather jacket that they wear on layovers.

It's going to pass. The close to retirement guys will all be a yes since they lost out on TA1, and the junior guys will vote yes to get retro as they leave for the real airlines. The rest are so tired of this **** show some no's on TA1 will be yes on TA 1.1.

If we worked the same days each month, he’d out earn me because of their soft pay rules. The idea that we came here for the prestige of a position on not the pay is ridiculous.
Again to my point that our soft pay rules and scope is where we need to get wins. The r3trds here saying they will vote no unless the top WB rate starts with a 5 have lost their damn minds. They are thinking about this all wrong.

If we are sunsetting the A Plan it better come at a significant cost to the company. No concessions and top pay in the 500s period. Based on what have already been TA’d I’m already a NO vote anyway.

If you are a no voter no matter what then why should we waste dues money trying to get you what you want?

Reading is fundamental. I said based on what has been TA’d so far, I’m voting no. Way too much concessions with minimal gains. The trade off is not worth it.

What is in the released TA'd sections that is so bad? What concessions have we made? I have read every section that has been released word for word. So far, I haven't seen anything that is worth a no vote and have seen quite a few gains. Take R-24 and hotel standby for example along with designated dates that every request for AVA will be approved in the recently released section 25.

So again, I'll ask, what bad give backs am I missing?

I keep hearing people say this, but it doesn’t hold up to any logic. It makes no sense for anyone considering leaving to postpone and wait for retro, as we are seeing from current record resignation numbers. Sure, more will leave if we ratfy a TA23.1, and they will likely be more senior and older. But I suspect a vast majority leaving at that point would be no voters.

It seems to me that this false logic may just be the latest excuse that some here are attempting to use to rationalize their yes vote on a bad deal. Similar to rationalizing that “this is the best we can get due to all the ICs, so I guess I’ll just vote yes”.

If you’re saying there aren’t any concessions then you’ll never see them for what they are. You also supported and defended TA2023. It’s your opinion and I respect that.

It wasn't negotiated by CAPTAIN JG. Council 22 says it's bad so no further research has to be done. Just parrot them. All will be well. Release is coming any day now.
