Did something change? I thought that management kept saying 15-20 new hires a month indefinitely.

Training letter is pretty sparse on new hire slots past October.

There's a July and august class.. There may be two classes in August, or one in August and one in sept.

So the way you guys see it, 3 more classes this year, each with 20. That will cover the rest of CY12. I would imagine all 60 have already been interviewed and are just waiting for a class date.
For those that haven't even tested yet the earliest would be sometime in 2013?

Anybody know about how long it takes to get a response from FedEx after you submit an app? From reading previous posts it seems to be about 6-9 months. Is it different for legacy candidates? My old man works at fedex and I have a few senior sponsors

It all depends on when they decide to hold a Pass Board. That's when the big-wigs get together and decide who to call in for interviews. I know guys with applications in (with senior sponsors) who have had applications in for over a year and have not "gotten a response." you won't get a response if you are not selected for an interview.

If your dad is a pilot, that should help with your chances, but not the timing. It all depends on what they need and when they need it.

Keep your application updated and your cell phone with you. Good luck!

MEM and CGN 757 new hires through mid December. Mostly CA slots on the letter after that. With the 18 airframes that are supposed to show up by May 2013 there will have to be another bid for 757 positions sometime in the late fall.

There will be some guys flushed off the 727, but the 757 fleet is growing steadily and there should be some slots available.

This is all, of course, subject to the company's cost cutting announcements due this fall.
