Yeah when you have to explain the joke the humor is gone.

So, since we all know why the Purple Nuggets got saddled with that name, I see nothing wrong with coming up for a name for our new guys who get the 777. Nothing disparaging, just descriptive.

Purple Craftsmen?

Purple Snap-Ons?

What other kinds of tool boxes are there?

recently got the e-mail telling me you are on to the first round and then one offering a testing date this fall.

if i make it you can call me whatever you want no matter where i end up and i am buying.

When we hired about 67 straight to the right seat on the MD11 in '06, our Chief Pilot at the time called those new hires "Purple Nuggets". Purple is a FedEx color.
