So, since we all know why the Purple Nuggets got saddled with that name, I see nothing wrong with coming up for a name for our new guys who get the 777. Nothing disparaging, just descriptive . . .

Purple Snap-Ons?

What? Purple Strap - Ons?

Oh, Snap-On.

Nevermind.

Since Dragon hasn't responded, I'll offer up as I recently tested.

7300 TT
2600 TPIC
5000 PIC
5000 Multi

3 types including the 744 and MD11

Extensive international and oceanic experience.

That being said. I was not indicative of the others I tested with... There was a wide range of experience in my group.

Here's a pic of a brand new toolbox (one of the reasons we need new hires).

I was reviewing my app with a friend and on the references page he has a box at the bottom showing who his primary endorsement is from and also who has submitted letters of rec. I don't have this...

Does everyone else have this info at the bottom?

From what I understand, the person giving the rec has to check a box for you to see that info. I show some but not all and I know the ones that don't show up are in because they cut and pasted their input in an e-mail to me.

Can any of the recent new hires tell when they were informed of their actual class date? (i.e. how many days/weeks prior to class) I'm in the pool and I know there is a class coming up on 10 SEP. Rumor has it that the pool should be drained between SEP and OCT's class. Several of us that interviewed on the same date are awaiting calls and have heard nothing but crickets so far.....

My friend found out just about 2 weeks prior. This seems typical for them but I think some had been called as little as 10 days prior.
