Chip,
You seem to be hung up on FedEx preferring military. Again, our numbers are about 60/40 mil/civ with some mil having a bunch of civilian time. Don't think if one has only civilian, that you have less of a chance.
cheers

Thanks. I'm not hung up on it, it's a fact. I'm not complaining about it either. Sorry if it comes across that way. Your numbers might be correct, but from the friends I have that have gone through indoc the passed two years, it has been 80% military. Again, that's not me complaining, just stating what has been happening.
It's pretty easy math to state that if 70% of new hires are military, and 30% are civilian (not even considering that there are probably more civilian apps on file, a guess), then one has less of a chance being a civilian.
I'm doing everything I can to get HRs attention and would LOVE the opportunity to interview at FedEx. I've met plenty of great FedEx guys up in ANC; be happy to fly with them!

If I'm wrong it wouldn't be the first time!

That WAS 4 years ago, and may have been the only offer for some.

Many of those guys would have mutiple offers now.

Four of 6 in my class last year had some military. I was all civilian. Of the 4 in my interview group 2 military 2 civilian, one of the military guys was also an fo on mil leave at united. He was the only one that didn't make it past the first day and the only one not hired.

And (insert airline here) could have a class one week/month with mostly military. Next week/month could run a class with mostly civilian.

Yeah right! You can't say anything here without people trying to flame on you:0

Wasn't intended as "flame".

Simply that 4 years ago was an entirely different climate than now.

Early 2012 the "big 3" weren't even interviewing yet, etc.

So do you need to be a LCA to get a call more than likely if your a 121 Captain?
