FedEx Hiring
#2022
Candidates for jobs involving handling or access to U.S. mail cannot be considered for employment if they have resided outside the U.S., Guam or Puerto Rico for more than (6) six months during the last (5) years prior to today's date, other than the following verifiable exceptions ... employee of a U.S. based employer/company ...
It doesn't matter who you flew for, it matters where you hung your hat.

The way I read it is that you have to have lived in the US for the last 5 years, unless you worked for a US based company, in the military, etc.
Is this wrong?

How's the view from your high horse there? Getting plenty of Kool-aid? I'm sure you're not thirsty.
That "rule" is no longer a USPS requirement, nor has it been for many years. FDX has held on to that for no apparent reason.
I hope your interview prep is better than your attitude displayed here.

If you want, you can send me a PM and I'll be sure to walk your stuff in.

Do yourself a favor...go read anything and everything Albie has ever written. You'll find he doesn't ride high on the horse. AND, you might actually gain a tidbit or two on how to get hired here. He's one of the few on this message board that is a 100% straight shooter all of the time.

I don't always agree with Albie (I'll never forgive him for voting yes.
), but he has done more to help potential new hires than just about anyone else on this board. Yes, he runs a company that makes money doing this, but he also gives out a lot of free advice, advice that you would be smart to heed if you are not already on the property. If Albie had his company up and running when I was trying to get hired, I would have used his service and it would have been money well spent. He has, over and over, provided thoughtful insight on a number of serious issues over the years, and is a valuable member of the crew force and this board.

I'm a bit confused why someone who doesn't work here is mad at the requirements to get an interview.
"They" can set pretty much any requirement they want to at least until you get into the ACLU stuff.
Don't meet the requirements, don't apply until you do. Meet the requirements but they make you so mad you won't apply out of principle, that's fine too.

It is their company. We are just contractors that provide labor to move their freight from point A to point B. They can do whatever they want with the hiring process.

I had time for just one at Salaam Namaste, but the rest of the time was doing my ECIC homework and RST practice. I've got 3 videos left to watch before the seminar next week. Maybe next time if I'm in his part of town. I would imagine (hope!) the HKG FDA pilots don't live in Mong Kok, at least not near our hotel.
