Interview Hotel?

Any suggestions for hotel in MEM for interview in Feb? One with a shuttle or close by? Cheers

The courtyard Memphis airport probably has the most reliable shuttle service to FDX locations.

I've heard positive reviews of the Holiday Inn Memphis Airport at 2240 Democrat Rd.

Years ago it was the Sheraton 4 Points, and it's been through numerous changes and gained a less-than-savory reputation. However, it is close, convenient, and has received the positive reports in the past few weeks.

 Hopefully that place has changed significantly. Pinnacle used to put their New Hires up there and 2 or 3 guys per class would have their vehicle broken into.

It was actually so bad that at one point they lost their Hotel Affiliation with Holiday Inn.

I stayed there several years ago. Each morning I would walk out to my car and see that at least one car in the parking lot had been broken into.

It looks like a terrible neighborhood to me (one of my crashpad room mates found that his rear window had been shot out IN THE CREW PARKING LOT!). I'd avoid some of the areas around the airport even with a gun!

I'd vote for the Marriott Courtyard also.

Congrats on the interview!*?

The fence around the Courtyard looks like the one around the Tyrannosaurous paddock in Jurassic Park.

And cops sleep in their cars in the back of the building.

Super nice folks that really take care of flight crews. They'll have free happy hour occasionally for pilots.

I used to always use the Radisson inside the airport perimeter, before they turned it into a parking lot. I figured, that way, at least if I get shot it's a federal crime......

They have a higher class of prostitutes though.

LOL that Holiday Inn! Nothing like staying a night there for a PC the next day at 9E and having one of Memphis's finest working ladies knock on your door to offer "services" at 11pm.

What's the average reserve time lasting for a new-hire? Thanks.

Depends on your fleet and domicile. I just got off reserve after 7 months for 57 MEM, but we stopped hiring to the 57 MEM so anyone junior to me will be reserve until we hire into it again.
