Many thanks,

Chances are pretty good. Once offered the CJO you should let KD know that you are interested in going to HKG. You might have to bypass a class or two to be offered it.

If the 757 is your last choice on your bid then you don't incur a seat lock and are free to move when the next system bid occurs.

Class seniority is based on the last four of your SSN. Highest number equals higher seniority.

Additionally I don’t think a seat lock applies to bidding for an FDA.

I thought the seat lock only applied to lateral or down bids. If you bid a higher paying seat, isn’t that allowed with some kind of cumulative extension to the lock you already have?

I was thinking along the lines of those guys in my new hire class who were awarded the airbus or MD and were not eligible to bid in the recent vacancy.

Partially correct. They were not able to bid another widebody FO seat or downbid to the 757 right seat. Nothing precluded them from bidding any Captain seat (obviously holding it is another story). Being able to bid a WB FO seat or any left seat as a 757 FO has nothing to do with where 757F falls in your standing bid.

Anyone know which one FedEx values more between a 74 or 76 type?

One would think experience (not just the type with no time) in an aircraft FedEx operates would carry some value. So, using that assumption, I would guess 767.

However, since they're going to train you the same way regardless of your past experience and there's also no guarantee you would be assigned the 767 as your first position, it's possible that they don't care at all.
I would value the 767, if it were up to me.
