Fedex app
I am sitting down to fill out the app today. The app requests work history from College. Can anyone chime in on whether they put a complete history or just the last ten years. I realize the app states the complete history since college but that is a very long list.

Can anyone PM me a good contact at flight ops HR that I might reach out to? I tried my HR rep and they were...... Uh, less than helpful (I actually tried that before asking here). I'd rate their expression somewhere around "Blank stare", maybe closer to "Deer in a headlight" or "Squirrel standing in a road not knowing which way to run for cover."
User "Airplane" mentioned, "Also would keep your years of service for retirement. So all you would need is the high 5"
Yeah, not even sure about that. FXE "others" went to a portable pension plan account about 2009. We were given the option in 2007, but very few people went. We were all moved over in 2009. Before that it was average top 3 X years of vested service (up to 25) X 2%.
So figuring out my retirement might also be sporty.
This is another reason why I'd like a good HR contact.

Yeah, the Purple Runway program does not apply to anyone working at FedEx Express, only MAC or Empire. So I would have to quit and go work for them and I currently make more than a 20 year 208 captain for either and much more than an ATR FO. Just nowhere near a 2nd year FO on a 57.
Yes, so I currently have a grand total of ZERO time they are looking for.... Seems I might just have to quit FedEx after 25+ years to maybe one day work for FedEx. The irony of that actually hurts to type.
Thanks, a low EE# and $6.25 will get me an extra value meal #3 at McDonalds.

Heads up to all those looking to join FedEx. They will begin to ramp classes up to 80 a month in the very near future. For the first time in 3 years those who did not get the nod the first time will get a 2nd shot. I have a big group of buds who are interviewing in Oct of which some are on try 2. So update those apps regularly.

What’s the seniority progression for the next 10 yrs look like for your buds should they get hired in Oct?
Mainly a selfish question since I got the invite but a pesky deployment got in the way. Can’t do anything about it for few more months.

I hope they really do reconsider others. I once got an invite about 2 years ago and could not make it. Had to cancel and now ever since cannot get an invite. Only change is more flight time .

Recruitment said at the last career fair in the spring that half the pilot group will be replaced in the next 7 years. This does not account for growth which we are currently growing. Currently upgrade on the 757 is under 3 years. In the last 2 bids most Jr capt. award was around 2 year seniority. Using historical and future data you would be top 50% in the right seat of the 757 in about 1.5 years. Widebody fleet would vary by AC. But as a data point those hired 1.5 years ago are about 57% in right seat of MD-11, 75% on 777/Airbus and 90% on the 767 because they havent hired into that seat in a year in MEM and many of the hires in 2015 and 2016 that went into the 757 have bid to the right seat of the 767.

Most recent word out of recruitment is that they want to double hiring to 80 a month in the very near future.
All percentages are FO seat in MEM since that’s what 98% of new hires go
Also keep in mind that your actual bid percentage is much better because a substantial amount of pilots are in pay only status because of things such as medical, mil leave, instructors not bidding etc. In most WB fleets this betters your bidding percentage by about 10%.
757: 43%
767: 82%
Airbus: 77%
MD: 75%
777: 93%
