Interesting
Hoping to steal a few delta FO's that couldn't get hired here due to the PIC requirement.

Exactly. They are already talking about deadheading MEM 767 Captains over to China to fly with new 757/767 FOs to avoid the 75 hr rule.

No way I would leave Delta to come here now.

I think some recent successes came from Atlas and Omni, and I know some professional instructors at other airlines are also being interviewed.

I don't think we are poaching from the legacies right now.

This is a great place to work...for the right person. Most folks hired before about 2005 progressed through MEM, or maybe ANC. It appears the first seat and first upgrade for many hired after about 2002-2004 will likely be Cologne or Hong Kong. Delta is hiring as many in a month as we will the rest of the year. Its not "bad" here, but its different than it used to be. For some guys and gals, that appears to be exactly what they want. Progression won't be fast, but at 100-150 a year tolerable...if you are ready for some serious hub turning on reserve or an FDA.

Why? Why would anyone come here as a junior guy in CGN or HKG unless you were will to live there forever. You aren't coming back to the US as a widebody captain for a long time.
