Seems if they could do that, they would have figured out the wolf pack trips a long time ago.....if they wanted to.

One reason to not log on early even before the new contract starts could be, because they can change your reserve period, if they give you enough notification (is it 16-18 hours)? So if you have a nice relatively senior block of B reserve days, they can call you before your block even begins, and change them all to A. I'd assume they can do that in the middle of them, but then they would have to give you that time off after notification. If I was on reserve, I think I would answer the phone when I am in the contractually specified notification period, and check my schedule when required. Especially if they're short of A reserves.

I much preferred clicking on a notification at ~1000 am the day prior. Then I could attempt to plan my sleep and possibly get a decent amount of it prior to waking up for the 0230 show time.
Better yet, get down to the AOC by 8:30pm. Then you can duty in and you can't be late. Go back to the sleep rooms and get ~5 hours rest before you go. I've been doing this for 13 years......Since the recliner rooms....

It's nice to have the sleep rooms, but I don't like them THAT much.

They know exactly how the wolf pack works:

I saw this in a dream so who knows: Special trips come to the AOC weeks in advance.
3 cubicle weenies work them. Dip clearances, routes, special airfields etc. One might be a pilot.
Then they get published, later.
All it takes is a txt e-mail or tele from an insider to a wolf an wallah. HOWL

Just a dream not an accusation.

Also while not not dreaming. MO and whis wife SO ferried a 300 to Asia. 2 captions how convenient.
Was either dual qualified? Legally allowed to fly the R seat ( a special qual)NO!!!! Nice vacation trip, pairing was generous in layover time. Frequently mgmt buds (also not dual qual) take a trips too but they wear kilts They are nearing retirement. So in 2 years when we have to move an acft to Asia or Europe who will be the F/O or now upgraded capt who has the experience?

During the last peak shortage numerous captians (mgmt) flew the r seat too. Do they have dual qual like a flex or sca/lca? I think not. They just have access to scheds that you don't.

Good luck picking up a special or really nice or ez trip.

Favoritism NEPOTISM run deep at FDX. Sheesh! every time Bruce C daughter (low seniority) enters the AOC she is like a member of the royal family has arrived. She should earn her stripes. Every capt uses kitten cloves and Elizabethan politeness with her. Good luck in bad wx, with a mel, divert and a hdryo sys fail. Her heritage will not help much .

The booze is flowing and not a spell-check to be seen for miles.

It's like those human brain trials where they leave out most of the important letters in a paragraph but the reader still understands what they're reading. Does he post without even looking at the final result or does he read it and just say... "Meh, they'll figure it out"?

Its worse that you can imagine! IPAD worse on 3g (they can see all) not so on WiFi.
They can see every log in and site you visited and keep stats.
The DO keeps a log. He sends that to the SCP/ACP, Standards,Training, daily.
Its all documented and kept. Even if its trivial.
So when they call you, and ask your side of the story they forget to mention that they know the more, the other side of the story.

Additionally they will look you up on your "plot report card (it has your picture): (mgmt only).
The first thing they check is your sick and mil leave. If they think you have used too much mil/sck. You start with 2 strikes against you ( do report/ report card sck, mil stats)
Then they by Spanish inquisition/police tactics, they repetitively ask you the same question. To see if your answer changes. All recorded. They'll give the rope to hang yourself.

I objected to the union about the report card. As we are allowed to see our record by contract. Good luck with this. You have to make an appointment and go to hacks cross, there will be a PAC person and lawyer.
I objected to the union that this is called a shop list and has been challenged and eliminated at other airline. Hey new reps what do you think?

I was thinking the exact same thing but I was trying to "behave".

Cool pic what did you really fly? C150 or piper?

No booze no ad hominum Just a small keyboard on a cell moving in a crew van.

This booze thing that i an constantly accused of;
? it take one to know one?
Or like farting he who smelt it dealt it?

Other night in Kmem the winds were very gusty. Lately we have a few lines go thru. Neither the F/O or the jumpseater questioned my grammar. Instead they said thanks nice landing. When exiting on the stairs a holly shot or 2 was mentioned.
