Default Going negative into vacation bank

Hello all FDXers,
Is there a max negative amount if one goes negative? All it says in contract is you need a positive balance to go negative, no max amount or limit.

Any other gotchas?

Thanks in advance.

Here's a gotcha. If you don't have a positive vacation bank (don't know the minimum, maybe only one minute is required), you will not be able to take any more vacation periods that year. You might think you have vacation over Thanksgiving or Christmas, and when the bids come out.....poof! It just disappears.

All you need is 1 min.

Thanks for replies, although what I was trying to ask was how far negative will they let you go? I know all you need is a positive balance, but is there a limit on how much negative?

You can go as negative as you can. You will still get to bid for all vacations the following year, but as others have said, if you do not have a positive balance, you will not be able to take your next vacation.

Alright, what am I doing wrong? I am trying to use a 7 day vacation slot to knock out essentially about 90 hrs worth of trips (one long JUL trip and one long AUG carryover). I want go negative. When I slide left to knock out the JUL trip, I get this error, "Total expansion submission exceeds maximum credit hours allowed" Essentially, it wont let me knock out that much it looks like.

Total credit hours submitted for removal: 91:56

Maximum hours for expansion limit: 48:00
Number of hours from regular vacation: 52:17
Number of hours from expansion request: 39:39
Number of hours exceeded limit: -43:56

Any ideas how I can still do this?

You aren't going to be able to expand your vacation to knock out more than 48 hours (7 day vacation hours plus 6). You can slide it, and knock out mega hours, if able. Is there a way to slide your vacation to knock out both trips? If not, sounds like you cannot slide and expand to knock out that many hours. You'll only be able to knock out up to 48, unless you can do it purely by sliding.

Thanks, looks like you're right. The 48 hrs max is a limit I didn't know about. Have to rely on sliding.

The slide option is the bomb. I turned 10 days of vacation in the last week of June into 7.5 weeks off. Can't do that with PBS!!
