I accepted the job in January this year expecting to go to training by march. Then the lear 60's were parked and guys within the company had to be retrained. That put me on the backburner until maybe this fall if they accept aircraft deliveries. Trying to keep the faith.

There will a small group of current 45 pilots that will be dual qualified a period of time until there are enough 75's to stand alone. Training begins this Fall. 75's are slated to start showing up 1st quarter '15.

That sounds great since I'll be heading back to afghan again this fall. But I've learned like a wing walker...don't let go of something until you got a good grip on something else.

Originally projected to be -1 aircraft for 2014 but was just revised to be maybe +8 or 9 by year's end, which is driving the sudden hiring.
I'd be contacting your 1108 or Flexjet HR to make sure your contact info is correct.

It's going to be awhile before they call folks off the street. They're currently looking at offering FLOPs pilots interview slots here at Flexjet (I've heard as many as 50-60). If they don't get the quota they're looking for by September 15 then they'll look at calling the guys that have already done the phone interview. There will be subsequent windows where FLOPs pilots will once again be offered interviews based on aircraft delivery.

Tell me how they can justify leaving furloughed guys on the street and pulling active flops guys in those seats? This game has gone on since I was hired in January and looks like it will easily last more than a year. Still no training date in sight. I turned down an airline job and stopped sending resumes because flex hired me. This is not Flex managements fault. This is Flops drama I thought I was done with for life.
