2beer,
Just a few questions you may know.
When can you begin contributions to 401k?
Is 7/7 the schedule for a new hire?
What health care plan does Flexjet have?
Are new hires paid during training?
Is $309/day the new hire day rate or is it salary?
Thanks in advance.

Hey,

I'll answer these to the best of my knowledge, but I'm sure that somebody here that actually works at Flexjet would be just a bit more knowledgable than me.

1. I don't know

2. The schedule is more or less a monthly airline style line bid.

3. I think they are with Aetna, and it's a good plan.

4. I don't know about pay during training... I would think they do.

5. Salary on APC is pretty accurate, plus overtime, per-diem, etc.

Other than that there is a 24 month pro-rated bond.

Best of luck, hope this helps a little. Anyone with more accurate info, please chime in!

I can help ya out:

1) 401k begins right away. They match 50% up to 6% plus an additional 2-4% based on your age and time with company, regardless if you contribute anything.

2) 7/7 is available for anone to bid. However, it goes pretty senior so you won't get it anytime soon.

3) Yes, we have Aetna...for now. With the buyout, we're still waiting to see what it will be. Currently, the family plan is $107/paycheck and we get paid every two weeks. They offer both a POS and HSA plan...for now.

4) You would be paid a salary of 16 days per "month." We have 13 bid periods per year. Each is 28 days with payday being every other Thursday, or every two weeks. Each check would contain pay for 8 days plus per diem. They pay for hotel as well. No sharing rooms, either.

5) $309 is the new-hire rate, I believe. After training, you'll bid a schedule that will vary from usually 14-18 days per bid period. Each bid period contains two paychecks so you take your number days and divide by two and that's how you plan your paychecks. Per diem is paid with each check, too.

the current 401K is actually 100% match up to 6% plus the enhanced...

unless you live in Dallas you will be paid per diem as well. $42.00 a day.

Keep in mind Its been 8 years so don't hold me to it. It may have changed.

I flew from the left seat, but it was optional. Yes, he'll give you some power settings. Like I said, it's very, very laid back. We got in, loosened our ties, had a few laughs, went flying, and that was it. Nothing to get too worked up over.
