Doesn’t Delta pay 150=hour year 3? At 1,100 hours credit that’s 165 + 18% profit = 30 + 16% 401k = 30 = = 225. Upgrade at year 3? Nuts!

Upgrade in LGA? No thanks. Many of us are close to retirement that we really don't care much any more.This place has sucked out the ambition from many of us. Every month, we have people that just decide to quit with no notice. They just don't show up for the trip or quit with less than 1 hour notice prior to departure or they check in for the trip then walk away. Nice.

I don't know you, but I have seen almost your exact, same post on the TMC Jets forum, where you were going to interview (I hope that it went well). Anyway, current employees here at Flex/Options are not happy with their current degraded situation, just like the employess on the TMC Jets forum tried to warn you of the difficult times that they face.

Your repetitive "if you don't like things here, why don't you just leave?" is getting kind of old. Pilots at Flex/Options, TMC Jets, Atlas, ATI, ABX, etc. are in the similar situation of should I stay or should I go... Anyone who has been in this career long enough understands and has experienced career stagnation and the feeling of being stuck. Maybe they are waiting on Turbine PIC, maybe they can't afford the temporary pay cut, maybe they are working on their 4 year degree, maybe they are adult caregivers and need that specific schedule, etc.. There are any number of reasons that pilots choose to stay on at a company that they wish they could leave.

And in one of your previous TMC Jets post stating that pilots are not martyrs... You are wrong. I personally know 3 honorable pilots who delayed class dates at UPS and American because they were on their respective MEC negotiating committees and it was their baby. They had fought, sacrificed, and worked so hard to make their former companies better and pilots are doing that at both Flex/Options and TMC Jets. These are often the same pilots that post on these forums to warn other fellow pilots about coming to that company. And of course, there are always the pilots on the street like yourself that discount these pilots pilot's warnings with that same old company apologist retort "if you don't like it, then quit". And those same pilots are the first to B1tch when they get there and have their awakening moment.

Complaining about your current company on this forum has had great results for the pilots at Wheels Up and Executive Airshare. With no shows and lack of applications, EAS changed their schedule from a 12/3 to a 10/5 to an 8/6 to attract and retain pilots. The same thing with Wheels Up. Heck, EAS is even bragging about this new schedule with a side banner on this website. Letting your fellow pilots know the truth, even their perceived truth, about a company is an honorable thing and they deserve more credence and respect than you give them.

Pilots, heck all employees, choose to stay or leave a company for their reasons and those reasons are their own business and not for you to judge. If enough pilots from Flex/Options and TMC Jets open up on here about their working conditions, applications from other prospective pilots will drop and the companies will be forced to improve conditions just like EAS, Wheels Up, and all the Regionals have had to. Again, if the pilots at Netjets and the Majors followed your "If you don't like it, why don't you leave" mantra, the "Majors" would be just as bad as 135 and Netjets wouldn't be "Netjets".

At nearly 62, there is not a whole lot of moving to be done. For a very long time under Bombardier, this was an ideal place. Now, it is a completely different story. They are selling guys coming in a false scenario. Guys are getting called in and harassed over petty, minor things. It’s toxic because the head guy is butthurt that we voted to retain union membership. There is a disparity of treatment between the pilots on a random basis. And I think it is important for pilots considering this job to know what they are getting themselves into. With just a few years to go, starting over is not really an option for me. But you have a chance to make a better decision and go someplace with some stability. I’m afraid we won’t have stability in the next five years.

For the Options guys: pre Teamsters if you upgraded, you had to start at year one captain pay. If you switched fleets, you had to go back to year one captain pay on the new fleet. That alone is reason enough to love the Teamsters. And it is something the Teamsters have done for Flexjet pilots too. Because without the Teamsters, we would have been put under that system when DAC bought us.

When red label was originally announced, ALL positions, domestic red label and International Large Cabin, were to be interview. But because we were in the middle of a union drive, management made domestic red label pseudo seniority. Through arbitration we were able to make it straight seniority.

For both groups: written, legally binding work rules. Since DAC bought us, I've been told numerous times "we need you to waive that...just this once". That is gone and is worth its weight in gold. This management team does not have your back when the feds come calling. This is not Bombardier.

My apologies.....I didnt even think of the 121 65 rule vs 135. Late in the game it makes sense not to switch. Thanks, I never even thought of it.....

My pay went up over 43% during the life of the contract, plus I had a set schedule which could not be changed without negotiations with the pilots. Plus many other things that improved my QOL.

Even though our pay on the FO side is low compared to others, I remember what it was before the Teamsters came and don’t want to go back to that Non Union pay scale and no work rules.
