Flexjet hiring ?

I would take that over bidding a schedule that changes monthly. I prefer something very set.
my question is......do I have to take a PBS or can I just volunteer to take a 7/7 or 8/6?

First, it’s a 7/7 or 8/7 fixed schedule. There is no 8/6 by contract. Second, you can bid for that, but being junior you probably won’t get it. Really, try to go somewhere else. This is not a place to be right now. And the future doesn’t look good at all.

If he/she is worried about changing schedules from month to month and wants a set schedule then telling him/her to go to an airline is terrible advice. Throw in sitting reserve and reserve schedules or commuting and that is going to be a bad time.

Coming to Flexjet for a fixed schedule is worse advice. At least at an airline you will eventually have some stability based on your seniority. At Flexjet, seniority is not honored at all, so he will never have any stability. And taking a fixed schedule will get him a permanent pay cut. At this point in time, there is not one redeeming thing about Flexjet for a new hire. All but six bases have forced 8 on 4 off rotations as a distinct possibility, upgrade times in excess of 10 years, and the absolute most abysmal employee relations in the entire piloting profession. Maybe in 5 years, if management get their act together, but certainly not today.

In other words, we all work for bottom feeders with #### bags for management. Unfortunate, but true.
