Still apply. Phone interviews are supposedly still going to happen.

As far as I know phone interviews are still occurring, but everything after that step is being delayed indefinitely. No harm in applying, they’ll be hiring again eventually and this will put you ahead of those who are applying at a later date.

Default Update?

Can anyone who WORKS AT FLEXJET provide an update of the morale at Flex and how they are poised to weather the rest of this virus situation? I can see on Flightaware there is still a fair amount of flying being done (obviously not as much as normal). Has there been any talks of downsizing, etc? What about all the new aircraft that were ordered?

Also, I read on another board that Flexjet pilots are on their own to get to one of the 7 crew bases they're using as hubs? Is that true?

The guy I’m paired with tomorrow drove out from MEM to DAL. They rented him a car and his drive time is duty time. So you’re not on your own as I understand it.

flex is paying/reimbursing the pilots for the travel.

Thanks, I thought that sounded unreasonable. That drive is about 6:45 so not bad. NetJets has had pilots volunteer to waive the 150 mile rental car limit rather than risk flying on an airline. One guy drove 10.5 hours to get home rather than take a 2 leg airline.

From my understanding is that if your driving commute is under 12hrs the company expects you to drive to and from a hub in a rental. All time is paid period. Some guys in the way north west and east that are out of those driving ranges are being paid to stay at home. Flexjet management is doing an incredible job on keeping us safe with our new little internal airline, meal allowance and spraying all aircraft with a 360 micro shield. Flex is way ahead of the curve and in my opinion our management team is being super proactive. Let’s all be safe out there and support one another no matter whom we fly for.

how tf is driving 12 hours just prior to or after a 10 day trip considered “safe?” You know many will try to cannonball run it in one day, especially when trying to get home. Is a comp day provided for each 350 miles (standard relocation compensation) required to drive?

If you want a hotel you get a hotel, your first day is considered a travel day. I finished up a few days ago and was about 4hrs into my drive and request a hotel and got one along with an incentive day of pay.
