That being said, I'm not a big fan of the new pricing, it would be a tough pill for me to swallow at the new rate, but if you have GI Bill, it pays a good amount of it.

Appreciate the insight, thats about what I expected. I have some reserve GI bill to eat up, $4400 or so is what I have left, which is why I was looking at the program, because the $6900 plus 2x$900 checkrides and hotels add up pretty quick. Also considering Florida Flyers 2 week CFI program, $5900, but local to me up here in Jax so no hotel, then aim for CFII later on.

Default AF CFI program

So the new program that is 30 days long is CFI and CFII? Is Patrick still down at the Pompano location?

I did the CFI Academy in Pompano, 30 days program. It pretty much consists of learning how to create Lesson Plans and proper teaching. Everyone’s end up sharing the internet ones... so the course is actually helpful for the teaching experience. 30 days is a pain!!! And at the end, every examiner has its own way of conducting the checkride, mine asked me tonteach only one lesson plan! So, bear in mind the CFI program teach you how to teach, not to pass checkrides.
About getting a job offer, they advertise if you do the program you get a job offer... that being said, make sure they know you’re doing the program to work there, as many do. Because of that “marketing policy” American Flyers has so many Instructors and the average hours monthly are only 50 to 70.

Nope, you’ll still be scheduled for ground school, flights or both
