In today's environemnt I doubt that many regionals would be picky about safety pilot time. By the time you're ready for the majors you'll have thousands of hours of turbine ME.

After visiting & talking to 2 current private students at the time, asking about the daily routine, basically the schedule depends on where the instructor has the two students he/she is assigned to on the particular part of the syllabus. Right now, if there is any flying done, it is started VERY early, like 5am (Due to the Sun Baking) Ground school occurs all day and is pretty laid back when I was visiting. 7 days a week as u may know. This may not be correct, but what I observed and was told. Hope it helps.
I have been studying for the last week, but havent got much done. Your a big step ahead it looks, I only have about 7 hrs. IF, you take the test prior to arriving, are they able to pull score from FAA prior to retake if I don't do so well?

I don't want to be a downer on this, but ATP isn't that great. I'm there right now doing the CFI program and all I've been doing is bending over for the past three weeks and taking it like a convict on his first day. I don't want to disappoint you, but I want you to be prepared as well too, I went into the school knowing about all the bad things that happened there, the only reason I'm still there is because it's cheap. So if you really want to hear about the bad things just to prepare yourself let me know I'll tell ya just so you can brace yourself.

"Better brace yourself, Some people around here don't take too kindly to negative comments towards ATP."
This isn't JC. Nobody will get flamed here for giving their opinion on ATP, one way or another. Trust me....

EVERY school has it's ups and downs. I happen to like ATP a lot - it fits my learning style and pace just right.
Good luck in CFI school, I heard it's TOUGH! Which location are you doing it at?

I'm at Daytona. All the instructors are pretty cool, but its really disorganized here. I like the school and everything, but it was suppose to be a two week program and I think we're on week four and no ratings, oh well just more time to study, where are you at?
