Turbine Transition Courses
I teach part-time at Parks College, Saint Louis University. We just got CRJ AATD and I am trying to put together a class for the summer for those who have recently graduated or are instructing over at the airport.
I searched online and only found ATP and someone else that posted their cost. Most of the schools that I found offer the same thing; systems and around 28 hours of sim.
Does anyone know of any other schools and what they charge? I couldn't find a cost for PanAm or Delta Connection Academy.

UND has a CRJ course in they're level 6 FTD (is that the same as an AATD?) as part of the commercial aviation major. Cost is roughly $3500 for 10hrs in each seat (you only pay while sitting in the left). It also incorporated a ground school covering 121 regs, profiles, checklist usage, FMS operation, etc. CRJ systems and CRM are taught in different classes. Its structured as a 6 week course to "mimic" an airline ground school. The class was worth 3 credit hours.

Not to be a hater, but these programs are a waste of money. Seriously, people have gotten hired and made it through training for years w/o these types of programs. Why all the sudden are they so big.....schools looking to take more money. It's a shame what some schools/companies will do to drain the bank accounts of students.

As for the learner-centric...yeah I don't understand that either.
