I am an Alumni and can say... YES IT IS A GREAT SCHOOL! It is NOT worth the money! If I had the chance to do it over I would go to a good state college and get my Certificates at the local FBO. If you really want a Diploma that says E-RAU on it do it on line at 1/8 the money.

I'm sure you're overwhelmed by all the responses and mixed signals. One thing should pretty much resound through all of them though, EXPENSIVE TRAINING+ Not the greatest prospects afterwards = you better be really sure you wanna do this bc you love flying! Otherwise you will be really sorry after.
I'm a WMU grad myself. CFII trying to get my start professionally and boy I'll tell you its pretty rough out there right now. Its an up and down industry, but you still wanna be sure this is for you.
Anyway, you may want to consider WMU. Its a state university, so you get the whole "college experience" if you're worried about that from provate aviation. Also, but its state, its somewhat cheaper. Thirdly, you have everything at your disposal as far as educational diversity goes. WMU is a state U, but it also has one of the best aviation programs in the country. And for all those guys out there that are suggesting a different degree and separate ratings, WMU can help there too. If you cant see yourself doing anything but aviation, you can get your degree in Administration (management). This way you'll have that door open, which is much more prominent in the industry in case something happens as a pilot. While doing that you can still get your ratings at the school, and even count them as some of your electives.
Well this reply is getting long...if you have any other questions about the program, please feel free to ask. Good Luck!
