Congratulations, and thanks for posting Boyington.
Sounds like a good gig.
I’ve been scheduled for interview, simulator and medical in Tokyo 24-26th of February through Crew.
So, hitting the books and studying until then.
Found myself using a lot of time on logbooks, and flight time to get the aeronautical experience form to add up.
I have six logbooks.
Guess they expect me to bring those to Tokyo?
Understand that logbooks must match to the minute what you fill out on the AE form.
I have never logged cross country according to the cross country definition (full stop at two or more airports before reaching destination)used in Japan so my logbook cross country total does not reflect “Japanese” cross country.
Do I revise my (logbook) numbers to reflect the JCAB definition in my logbook and on the AE form, or do I use the numbers I already have in my logbook and also put them on the form?
Any advice from someone who has been there before appreciated.
I have 9400TT but still expecting a thorough check of all logbooks

Don't make any corrections on your logbooks to match their standards, they have been hiring foreign crews for over 15 years now and they are used to the different interpretations of other CAA's, the important thing is that the addition is correct.......! Bring all your logbooks, they won't do a forensic analysis of your hours but they do want to see the normal signs that interview teams watch for in a set of logbooks (your handwriting changing over the years, weathering of the books etc...!)
Good luck

Good luck to you! The logbook thing...let's just say everyone in my class was still dealing with errors as of last week before we received our Japanese logbooks. The break down is funky, but just get the numbers to add up and it's fine.
Let us know how it turns out!

Hello all,
Those that have recently interviewed would mind sharing their background experience and flight time? I am an RJ FO with 3000+ TT and 2000+ jet time with a PIC type. I am going to send in my information. Last time I was told by someone at crew that I have no chance as most of the applicants are united guys. That discouraged me and I backed off. But now the bug of applying is alive again and I find this company suitable for my needs. Any input is appreciated.
