Can anyone tell me what these companies have against military time? I'd love to try something like this. I spent 3 weeks working at Haneda for Uncle Sam last July and really enjoyed the people, culture, and the food!! But it's hard to believe that my 4500 hours of multi-engine (8, not 2) time in a crew aircraft don't count. Tough pill to swallow.

crew is the same as hacs. not advisable to apply with parc also, at least that is what alan told me. the apps get sent to ana and if there is a duplicate it will slow things down.

I would think that has more to do with the fact that if you decided to go to Parc, they would be out a good bit of money. Take a look at both companies and see which one is best for your situation. There are subtle but significant differences in the two companies.

I applied to both. I was told by HACS that I wasn't qualified at this time and Parc said to come on out....

Probably true as well....but in my case he makes it seem like I am going to get an interview. so he did not want me to have to apps on file in japan. if nothing happens then we will see. I am curious to know how much these companies make with these deals...sounds like it might be the biz to be in!

I think that the role of the contract agencies has to be discussed. A lot of guys here did apply with more than one agency (I applied with both HACS and PARC) quite a bit of guys are pitched to ANA by all agencies but once you are to interview with one of them that is it, you are married to them for the duration of the contract and most likely renegotiation of further contracts, All they do is gather as many warm bodies as they can and hope that the guys pass the interview process and more importantly training, once you are certified on the line you don't hear from them except for your monthly pay statement. After I was hired, I got an e-mail from HACS asking for some additional copies and that is when I told them that I was already hired. Get the interview anyway you can

btw: they all try the good'ol game of "pay your way to TYO and we will reimburse you" they will pay for it if you push the issue

asia...interesting, i wonder what the expenses are. not bad money if they have no overhead.

dominican, it seems from this thread that at least hacs is good about reimbursing the ticket....have you heard of problems?

I used PARC and had no problems with the reimbursement for my airline ticket and transfer from Narita to Haneda. I think I waited around 2 weeks for the money to be deposited to my account. Overall my experience with PARC has been good.

Now if I can just get that call for a class date!
