What are is the requirement for command? Is there a minimum time in company and time on type or total time?
Also how is the career or fleet progression working? T7 FO back onto A320 for command? If you start on A320 where will you go?
Also what routes will the 787 go on given everyone wants to stay on T7.
Any chance to go direct A330 with Boeing narrow body time?
Thank you in advance.

With the current rate of expansion some of your questions are difficult to answer. Upgrade for narrow and wide body is 5500tt with either time on type or time in the company. While a quasi seniority system exists to move to bigger aircraft, the fleets are separated according to manufacturer. Cross fleet transfers go very senior. Airbus has the most types, thus the most amount of movement within. Career progress, lifestyle choice, and expansion has made a logical path very difficult to define. FO's who joined over the last 18 months were able to bid to the 380, while very senior staff numbers stay 320 FO's to gain experience/sectors. Some remain on the wide body fleet in hopes of avoiding a narrow body upgrade. The short answer is there is a lot of opportunity and movement, but nothing is set in stone.

Hello,
I am brand new on this forum (first post!) and would like to know if someone heard of non UAE national under the required 2500 hrs that got in EY ?
I am a 27 year old naval aviator with 1000hrs + on navy jets but only 1700hrs total (and an ICAO ATPL).
Thanks

Folks,
When I click 'Apply Now' on the website I get a message 'Unfortunately the position you are attempting to apply for, , is no longer available.'
Anyone else experiencing this? Can only think it's perhaps a browser issue but I'm using Safari, surely the careers website supports this.
Any suggestions from those who've submitted an application recently?
Cheers,
FO

The Middle East airlines generally require civilian multi-crew aircraft experience.
If you are American, why not the majors in the States? Even if it took you 3 more years to get on there, that would be a potential 35 year career in your home country. That would be far better than working overseas for 35 years.

Unfortunately I have not heard of the airline hiring non-type rated pilots below company minimums based on military experience. Non UAE nationals have been accepted into the cadet program, however this is an ab initio training program. They are hiring non typed into the Boeing, but generally having had a previous Boeing type rating and considerable airline experience. This is not to say you don't have a shot, we need a lot of pilot in the next few years.
My advice would be to try to get some face time at a road show as the recruiting dept is swamped.

Hello all,
I was wondering if any of you know if there is a Maximum BMI over which you won't be granted an interview or which you you won't be medically certified by the DGAC in UAE.
Am wondering this for EK, EY and QR.
Thanks in advance.
