it happens. But that was after a fatal accident of the company’s aircraft and an investigation followed. The Honda jet accident wasn’t JetIt’s operation.

True, Dustoff,

UPS didn’t even give the courtesy of interviewing, I believe, any of the Emery pilots nor the Challenge Air Cargo pilots when they acquired those companies. I don’t believe that they hired ANY from either group. They are the last company that you want to get acquired by..

The fat lady is singing. Sorry to all those effected. At least the hiring market is good.

Default Why Jet It Failed and fired all employees

https://www.flyingmag.com/why-jet-it-failed/

They just used the "safety stand down" as an excuse to claim "Force Majeure". This seems to be a re-run of Avantair where the owners are on their own to find their jet and pay off the liens. I think the wait list for NetJets is about to get a lot longer as owners see the advantage of having a company like Berkshire Hathaway standing behind the Fractional Operator.

I hope no pilots were left out in the system and made to find their own way home.

The 10 year anniversary of the Avantair shutdown is coming up June 26, 2023…. ask me how I know, 😢..

Had a short stint at EWA after working at CAT, then was in the first round of furloughs following the shutdown. It was always rumored that UPS wanted EWA, but turns out didn't want the planes or pilots, just Menlo Logistics - which is now UPS Logistics. None of it was unplanned...

Which all led me to Blackhawks and a safer paycheck. Snowbirded at Flatiron but never flew there.

Default Volato Offers LifeLine to Jet It Owners/Pilot

Yep, you nailed it. Problem is so many of the HondaJet's are stuck in hangers with liens and stuff, and the Mx records are in a office that has been locked for non payment of rent. Want they want to do is offer short term leases to the owners and onboard pilots who are current and qualified on the HondaJet. That way they just need indoc and a quick checkride in the Sim.
