Wonder what's going to happen to the future of planesense with only a few jet shares being purchased, senior captains leaving, and a DO who claims the moral is amazing here.

Absolutely...

The Director of Training will send you an email before you go up with all of this information. Dress is collared shirt with slacks and closed toe shoes. The hotel provides free detergent/dryer sheets with a nice front load washer/dryer up on the 5th floor (also free). I would just bring enough clothes to get you through the week and do laundry on the weekend.

The first week is IFR review. Know you're IFR procedures when you show up and it'll be easier. You'll have a sim check at the end of that week but it's basic IFR stuff. There are NO tricks at all during training. There'll be times where you might think to yourself "It can't be this easy. There has to be a "gotcha" somewhere". There is no "gotcha" anywhere during all of it.

I would recommend NOT reading through the AFM or trying to memorize any V speeds or anything like that. The training department does a pretty good job of letting you know what you need to know so just take good notes and study. You'll receive an iPad your first day with access to all of the training materials too.

I don't think there's much to wonder about.

Senior Captains, CheckAirmen, Assistant Director of Operations, Instructor Pilots all voted with their feet. And don't forget the revolving door of chief pilots and operations personnel. That speaks volumes. Add to that the courting of venture capital, partners, or maybe both doesn't sound promising.

Anyone on property now has either an exit strategy or a mental impairment from drinking too much kool-aid.

My bet is the mismanaged jet program being the sea mine that blows through the hull of the ship and sinks it faster than the Lusitania.

That being said, huge announcement coming soon, 7/7 and JETS IN JUNE!

There are a couple of negative nancies on this forum. If the jet thing goes sideways, there's a pretty big demand for the PC-12 product. It will just come back to talent management in a difficult market. We will see how that goes, but it's a multi-year problem. I don't see an implosion by any means.

As long as we can continue to deliver a consistently high level of performance. If there aren't enough captains and things start get dropped it's going to get ugly.

I read the hiring process can take weeks, if not months. . . is that correct?

I applied in late September, interviewed mid October, accepted a Jan class date.

Would it ever be possible to base PSM summer and MCO winter?

Yes. We have a Captain who does just that.
