Yes. You're not going to a major with 200 hours of Duchess time.

When your working the 8 days on, are you staying at home base some of those nights or are they all outbased on your working days? Also would there be any way to change the 8/6 split to 4/3?
Thanks

No no no. Absolutely not. You hit the giant flying tube in the sky and most likely get extremely familiar with the flights getting you to BOS then the C&J to PSM. They have this strange desire to bring tons of FO's up each cycle. If you are lucky, you'll get paired and won't see PSM hardly at all in the cooler months. Most southern based Fo's run south in the winter, and live in PSM in the peak summer months. Captains, it doesn't really matter, but in the winters past, I personally spent 95% down south and west until Memorial day with the occasional run up north. With the islands essentially shut down in winter, not much volume up there with the exception of Mt Washington, Stowe, or BTV. Having said that, you may get an overnight in your base if it's a big one. MCO. TPA, PHL, HPN, CLT, PDK, MIA, etc....

Thanks for the help,
I live in Orlando so that would be awesome to get a base here but I just cant see myself leaving my family for 8 days at a time. Although 6 days off sounds great.

MCO guys will do a good amount of out and backs. Pick up a plane in base, as there are a good amount of MCO captains/IP's last I looked. It's not hard to be gone 8 days. Really more like 7. Different at first, then you get used to it. It's the long standby's in PSM and not flying is the rough part.

I applied approximately two months ago for the FO position with just over 500 hours TT and a CFI. I received an email three weeks ago saying "Hey, your info is on the CP's desk, we'll give you a call if you meet our qual's." Since then i've gained another 150 TT and completed my CFII written. Is there someone in particular I need to send my updated resume and times to or just reapply with all the new info included? I emailed the person who sent the wait and see email but haven't heard back. Also how much would having a High Performance endorsement help my cause? Thanks for the info in advance!

They will not do or schedule an interview until you have 750TT

Ok, thanks JMO! If thats the case, when I hit 750 should I reapply with the entire packet again? Or do I need to contact someone and let them know that I've hit the 750 mark and to update my pending application? Also any advice on the High Performance endorsement?
