I don't know where you got the idea that it would be an unsolicited meeting. I literally asked for a good contact to speak with about it. CP meet and greets are pretty standard industry wide, all the way up to the legacy airlines. Unless there is a culture that precludes it within PS specifically?

It's not about not listening, it's about trying to understand why the culture is different at a place like PS vs more or less everywhere else. I'm guessing that the vast majority of pilots at PS never had to contend with thousands of furloughed pilots before. Face to face meetings historically have been a tried and true way to cut through stacks of applications. But from what I am gathering, it seems PS operates to a different beat.

HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH PRECLUDING CULTURE.

Ok. Just spoke with my good friends who both are in the CPO at Southwest and another at a large 135. They laughed hysterically at the thought of making contact at home office and showing up. The best way is to find an AF tail near you and make contact that way. The 91k 135 doesn't operate like a 121. If you have the 121 mindset PS will be a challenge operationally as well as training.

I'm well aware of the differences, it's not my first rodeo.

While they are having new hire classes there are still many employees who are working from home. Plane Sense is still restricting the numbers of people in the offices. In fact the entrances are restricted and temp are being taken before being allowed to enter. In this environment I wouldn't recommend a face to face meeting.

During the normal times it would vary but 95% of the time you would be flying everyday of the 8 days. If at a base other than PSM or PDK 2 of those 8 days will be spent airlineing 90% of the time. In the current environment you may have 2-3 days of standby, either home or hotel. However the flying is increasing so there will be less days of standby.

Please allow me to spell it out for you. If you consider doing that, especially at the home office un solicited, you will probably not get a look much less get to where you need to go with PS. Its all controlled access anyhow. You do you though. I would highly recommend you consider NOT giving that any further thought this evening or ever. If they were having an official event, absolutely. But just showing up, yeah thats not a good look. The word desperate comes to mind.

How firm are they on their 100h Instrument time minimum for the captain PC-12 position . I currently have slightly above 80 hours and was wondering if that was fixed or if they can consider other qualifications.
Thank you!
Thank you!

I doubt they would waive it. Even with the direct entry captain “warm-up-as-an-FO-til-you’re-comfortable” program, they need you to be a rock solid instrument pilot.
