I'm a part time Captain but based on what I made extra in 2024 I'll convert that to a full time FO. For the soft pay (extra pay for over 5 legs, over 5 flight hours, under 12 hours rest and over 12 hour duty day) at FO rates I made $5900. My per diem (Capts and FOs get the same rate) was $6300. So my extra pay at FO rates was $12,200. I could easliy see a full time FO making an extra $24,000 in per diem and soft pay, which doesn't count any Overtime or Holiday days.

Per Diem isn't income.

Not taxable but you can still spend it as it is money in your bank account. You can use it to pay for meals that you buy on the road or not. The Company usually ends up paying for one meal during a duty day and most of the hotels we stay at have a free breakfast.

Just an update
The Plane Sense PC-12 simulator is operational in Tampa and all future training, to include all recurrent, will be done there. There are currently 233 line pilots of which 78 are PC-24 pilots. The next new hire class of 12 will be in April. They are currently interviewing from the pool of previously filed applications. Once that pool is depleted the application window will open.

Plane Sense is now accepting new applications. However you no longer fill out the application on the Plane Sense website. All new pilot applications are to be done at airlineapps, com

According to their Facebook page, classes will be happening once a month. Do you know when applicants should start hearing back?

I can’t give a definite time for hearing back as it varies. It depends on the amount of applications among other factors.
