Default Plane Sense expansion ????

Hello.........................

In response to posting #2509, I was recently told by a Flexjet crew that PSense is looking for a central/southwest base to expand into to the markets left vacant by the shut down Jet Suite and problems with service levels by there 2 competitors, AirShare and FlexJet

I do know that NetJets is due to start a major marketing expansion in the DFW area and try to take a major share of the high dollar sports charters, like the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, etc, etc. Marketing plans have also been completed looking at a large share of the college/university sports markets in the DFW area. Rabid, fanatical, screaming loyal fans with deep pockets

All the fingers on 2 hands cannot count all the college teams in the DFW area playing football, baseball, basketball and there high dollar loyal customers flying all over the country to attend games.

Finally, a larger market exist for charters to the west Texas oil patch, Midland, Houston, San Antonio, the Trans Pecos region, and the gas field in west Texas and New Mexico. Texas is rich in oil and gas.

Excellent marketing, superior service and driven management with several aircraft in the DFW area could make allot of money. It makes sense !!!!!!

There's no traditional base structure and no planes are kept in bases other than PSM and maybe PDK to an extent. They go where the customers need them. They do do 135 but a high percentage of what they do is 91k. And there's no way they could handle sports carters with their aircraft makeup. But they have been expanding the operating area more west since the 24s came on property.

Brief a Jepp chart. Answer questions about enroute/sectional charts. I had to fly an ILS. Just basic stuff about flying. A big one I remember them using is speed under a bravo shelf since thats about the only speed a PC12 can break

And speed in delta and Charlie airspace. It's 5 miles from the airport, not 5 miles from the airspace and not the outer ring of a class Charlie. These are common misconceptions I find in our first officers.

4nm comes to mind for me. Are you sure it’s 5nm?
