Upgrades aren't based solely on seniority. But figure you won't see the right seat of the jet for probably 7 or 8 years and incur another training contract. Attrition isn't really a thing here and the guys/gals in the jet aren't going anywhere and I don't blame them. Pay may be less than others, but the schedules, QoL, and company atmosphere is great.

Thanks to you and Tanker both for the info. From what I've read the Swiss have put together a solid jet. Also sounds like you have a pretty good company. Probably would have to start my own company flying the PC-24 to get into it any faster lol.

One more question. Is it harder to recruit FOs with the apparently long upgrade times?

Upgrade to PC-12 Captain isn’t that long. Once you are close to 1500 hours you can ask for a Captain evaluation. Once that is passed, and you have 1500 hours, you are normally put into the next Captain upgrade class. The long time is getting into the PC-24. Before Covid there were guys who were here 4 years who became jet FOs. Now it’s longer because they aren’t getting jets as fast. That may change if they get a lot of owners who want the -24 instead of the -12.

I notice that DFW is listed as a base. My question is wouldn't it make more sense for Planesense to use an airport like Addison (KADS) for traffic in and out of the Dallas area? I'm sure there's a reason I just don't know what it is.

All the bases listed aren't bases for operations. They're more a gateway. Aka, it's just the major field you can live near for the company to commute you to your trip.

As Beech Dude said the bases are selected so that crews can be airlined. The only bases that are operational bases are PSM and PDK. Also with the expansion this fall to include the West Coast in the operational area they are adding Boulder City, NV as a maintenance base and are looking to add DEN, LAS and PHX as crew base. They will not be adding any bases in CA due to tax reasons.

Copy. I assume the list of required domiciles reflect airports with workable airline schedules (I.E. multiple/direct flights to an operational base)

The company gets you a ticket from one major airport to the next. If you go from where you live, to PSM (which is 90% of the time), you fly into BOS, then take the C&J bus up to PSM, and reverse on your way home when you finish in PSM. If you happen to end a trip at a random field, the company will get you to the nearest airport to airline you home. If you live near some common fields we use, you may start trips there and the company usually gets guys a rental to pick up at their "domicile" to drive to the FBO where the plane is.

Out of curiosity, are those gateway airports non-negotiable? It doesn’t matter for me anymore, but I lived near a large Class C with LOTS of airline travel in-and-out of the airport, but it’s not on the list.
