I believe we are hiring for January and February classes right now. You can apply before 500; you may not get a response. Just apply again at 500+.

PlaneSense is hurting for pilots. 137 line pilots versus the 168 we had when I started. 51% captains and 49% FO's. 15 pilots based in PDK now. I know 4 FO's have quit this September. Getting in shouldn't be too hard now.

ALI G, would you mind sharing your opinion on why so many FO's are quitting ? Are they hitting 1500 and heading to the regionals or ?????

I think this topic has been hit on before. The bottom line is the lowered hiring minimums to attract recruits offers another path to 1500 hrs. For some pilots, we are a stepping stone. I have flown with a number of FOs in this position. While it is a good company, it also can have a niche type of employee - not all companies offer a base in northern New England or allow broader home basing opportunities. Additionally, while offering plenty of professional development from a flying and operating standpoint, that won't directly reflect on your resume when you show 1000+ hrs of ASEL turboprop time.
I don't think people are leaving because they are abused or get poor benefits or the like. However, if you are trying to reach career milestones in a quick manner, you won't do it by staying at PlaneSense. It's just the nature of the product they are providing. Even if you greatly increased pay rates, it is just more difficult to offer them the resume builders that will help them later.

The company is great when it comes to safety and operations. People are just leaving because many want to go mainline someday. Which is impossible to do if you have 50 hours of multi and 1,500 hours of single engine time. Not to mention PSA,ENVOY,Piedmont, and Endeavor are offering first year pay of 50,000-60,000.
