Avantair Interview

They will sometimes let you fly out of a "preferred airport". They will supposedly work with you if it does not mean the tickets will be more expensive than they would be if flying out of your listed domicile. This is on a tour by tour basis though.

As an FO I got around $1200 pay checks.
Now as a year 2 CA I get around $1800 pay checks.
I have the expensive insurance and don't do much overtime. We are paid every other Friday (so two months a year you get 3 paychecks...I like when that happens).
My pay this year is 53K, next year it goes to 64K. A day of overtime right now is worth just shy of $500. Enjoy...

Oh yeah, when I was an FO my base pay was 30K with a $5K "upgrade bonus". Now there is no bonus but they bumped new hire pay to 35K.
That is actually a better deal for the pilot as the 5K is now not taxed as "bonus pay" and if you work overtime that extra 5K is worked into the overtime formula to mean more money for the day of OT.
(If you're dying to know the formula it's your annual salary divided by 182 (number of work days a year) and multiplied by 1.5.)

Some guy? It was the guy that posted right before yours! Don't let your A.D.D. show at the interview. Just kidding.
I think I pay around $380 a month for insurance. I'd have to look at a paystub to be sure. Like I said, I have the expensive preferred out of network plan.

GlasssPilot: Who is the healthcare provider? I think that APC should add to the companies profile a list of benefit specifics such as companies and coverage choices. Might get too detailed but it would help out quite a bit. How is the flying lately? Can you post an example of your 7 days schedule?
