Default CS Training Contract Question

Greetings... Can someone explain the details of the CS $20K training contract? Also, any idea if they are still looking for those who want a DEN domicile?

According to the contract, they are supposed to collect $5,000 a year for four years (it's not prorated). They don't care where you live as long as it's within 2 hours of your domicile.

Thanks Chris99. I called the company today and spoke with them. I take it you fly with CS? I retire from the Navy in December and am very interested in flying there. Are you enjoying the ride??

Yes, I fly with CS out of DEN. It's a good place to work for. There is a push for a union going on right now, just to let you know. Most people seem to think there will be a vote this year.

I'm not sure what you are talking about but the training contract is for only ONE year. Maybe you are talking about pay back if you quit short of one year?

The contract is now for 2 years if memory serves. The change came with the enhanced 401k and work rules anouncement.

The training contract has not changed as far as I know, it is one year. The thing that changed with the 401k is vesting years to be fully vested in the 100% match for new hires.

Exactly, I should have worded that better. If you quit in the first year, they collect $5,000 a year for four years to total the $20,000. The first payment of $5,000 is due on your one-year anniversary of employment. Subsequent payments are collected on the first day of the following year.

Chris99,
How long have you worked for CS? Also, did they provide a "ride" out for the interview, or were you on your own dime?

Less than a year. It's on your own dime.
