Default What don't you like about Netjets?

Now that the dust has settled somewhat, I'd like to to hear some of the negatives about working for Netjets. We all know that the pay and benefits are good, the crew base issue is good, the schedule is predictable, the financial backing of BRK-a is a plus, market share is high, and growth is imminent.... all are fantastic job qualities, we can all agree.

All jobs have good and bad aspects, could any Netjets pilots please share with us some of the bad elements? Please share some realistic constructive criticism with us. Not interested in any bashing of the company or war stories, more interested in a realistic job preview.

Thank you in advance to all who share.

1- Can't trade or drop trips. If something important comes up and you need a day off, .....well you know what you have to do.
2-Not being released after flying, sometimes we do 3, maybe 4 legs, and they keep us on stand by at the FBO for 3 to 4 hours. They get those 12 hours of duty-time out of you most of the time, but we're here to work, so.....However, many times you do hotel stand-by, so, not bad at all.

That's it for me. Can't think of anything else I dislike.

So, the average duty days are twelve hours. Pretty normal. I thought that I read in another post that you get an overtime differential beyond twelve hours, is that correct?

Thanks for your input.

Have you had any issues with airlining out and back? Not talking about the airlines themselves, but has NJA ever dropped the ball and NOT had a ticket for you to get home or to get to work?

Thanks for your input.

I spent 6 yrs at flops, and can't speak for nja, but there were only two times they couldn't get airlines for me. Once was the day before thanksgiving, and the other was trying to get home one time during spring break. Now, they always seem to have airlines when GOING to work.

Exactly. I hate the crowds, the delays, the terminals, etc. Getting tickets has never been an issue for me.
