[quote=pilotbum;326685]Here's what I hear are the worst things about working at XOJET:
  • Rotations can get long.
  • Rotations are demanding.
  • It's 135, on-demand charter.
  • Rolling rest.
  • You will spend a lot of time on an airliner going to and from work. Tickets are generally purchased from 24-12 hours in advance; so you're destined to be sitting in a middle seat between two stinky fatso's...
Ya. I'm not scared. My last trip: Radar out, autopilot disconnect light disagrees with autopilot light, generators more than 30% beyond parallel, SIC AI inop, pilot intercom inop, right engine will not start on GPU - only generator cross start, anti-ice only works over 85% N2, and on, and on, and on... (of course it all worked when we left ) Its 135, on demand charter... At least at XOjet the equipment is capable of .92, and is younger and more functional than I wish I was . So. How do I get the job again

One hour to be off the ground, we leave Dallas, ADS-ABQ-MCC of all places- BFF-YIP drop off freight, 91 home LIT-ADS. We got home around 1600 on Saturday after 13.5 hours of flying. I forgot to say that we MEL'ed the Yaw Damp and were hand flying the whole time. This is just another day in paradise at my job. I think I'm ready for the switch. I'm used to the 135 on demand world.
Is that why they call it Scary Air?

How do they treat their pilots on the road regarding expenses and quality of Hotel accommodations?
XOJET's pilots do believe the future will be worth it.

Expenses-Actual, company credit card & expense reports.
Hotels-Mostly Hilton & Marriott properties.
Rental Cars when needed, no questions.

Is that cargo or air taxi 135? I can't believe passengers ride in junk like that? Are the airplanes registered as experimental? You must be a religious man...

Is XO an all jet fleet? Cause unless I was hallucinating, the XO pilot I was talking to was driving a cherry King Air.

...Would you believe, AIR AMBULANCE? It helps that they are strapped down. Sometimes I'm not sure who needs rescue...

Those wondering about interviewing with XOJET I know that they are focusing their recruiting on their domiciles east of the western 10 states. Additionally, most of the people getting called are byproducts of internal referrals. Hope this helps...
