Jump Seat Privileges
Hello All,
Do any of the Frax have JS Privileges on any airlines? I am not aware if any have Air Carrier Certificates, so I don't even know if they qualify under 135, much less are on any airline authorized list. I saw FLOPS was listed for AirTran...any others?
Anybody know? Thanks.

I believe CS has some limited agreements, but I know NJA has none and I don't know about any others. I know some pilots at NJA who do jumpseat from time to time, but the carriers that will allow it are few and far between. NJA does have a lot of retired airline pilots who retain pass privileges with their former carriers, but that isn't really jumpseating. Most fractional pilots will get a lot of airline miles going to and from the airplanes they fly themselves. At NJA most pilots earn between 4 and 6 domestic tickets a year. I miss jumpseating, but that is about the only thing I miss about the airlines.

Be careful whith the term "jumpseat" I believe most are talking about codeshare (ie, riding in the back for free space available) versus true jumpseat (in the cockpit) which only 121 carriers can do on other 121. Fracs are 135 and not allowed to fly in the cockpit and very few airlines have agreements to let us fly free.

2. Jumpseat agreements are between 2 air carriers for travel on each others jumpseats. CASS approved carriers may ride in the actual jumpseat. Non-CASS must ride space available in the cabin.
