Can any XOJ guys state the current medical/dental premiums for a family, and your opinion of how good the plans are? Also, please confirm the daily meal allowance is a use it or lose it (i.e. you can’t bank what you don’t use, like per diem). Just trying to get to a more direct salary comparison. Current job, I bank roughly $40/day of the per diem ($6-8k/yr), and health care premiums are covered by the company (could be another $5-6k in premiums).
Thanks.
Thanks.

High deductible PPO HSA plan. No cost for preventative visits. Deductible is $3000, company contributes $2300/year to HSA. After deductible is met, you pay 10%.
Per Pay Period:
HSA $110
Dental $26
Vision $14 (buy up option)

Don't know if NetJets is in the realm of the possible for those asking about insurance but here's the info:
In network, which all the Docs we've been using in CLT for many years are: $20 copay for an office visit; $150 copay for hospital or ER; Zero copay for diagnostic imaging. Urgent Care is $100 I think.
Fairly standard Dental and Vision coverage.
And that's it. We pay nothing for this insurance, no out of pocket min to meet. Drugs do have a $75 out of pocket once a year (CVS Caremark). Brand name drugs will cost a bit, generics are pretty cheap.
And this is locked into the current contract which still has a LOT of years to run, I think 2025 or so, someone pls correct me if I'm wrong.
Downside right now is NetJet's is only hiring 5-6 a month so they're being pretty picky. Recent contract changes have gotten a lot more flying from the same # of pilots. However by next year staffing levels should be approaching the contract mins per jet so most everyone expects hiring to increase. Lots of new shiny jets coming in, offset by older jets going away but still a considerable net increase.
