This TA might see one decent year before PBS implementation, but after that, being any measurable amount over 82 hours per month, month after month, will be a fantasy unless you're an FPL guy. PBS will ensure that. We'll be working more days to get to 82, leaving less days off to work more for that imaginary (effective) pay scale.
Good thing we'll only have 7 more years to go until the next attempt.

Ratification bonus and longevity pay raises aside, I think we’ll see a great deal of pilots taking in less money in 2020 than in 2019. The 2% YOY contract pay step from ‘19 to ‘20 will not come close to offsetting the loss of vacation drops and training conflicts (I won’t even get into transition conflicts).

wait till most of those that jumped to sell out for PBS figure out that their figuring of $240,000 a year turns out to be around only $13,000 a month after taxes and other deductions so only around $156,000 take home...YMMV bigger paycheck=bigger percentages. Your ALPA dues will be around $400 a month. Not complaining or anything just reminding those of you who used the confusinator calculator to make your decision probably didn’t take into account the actual take home pay... therefore your huge numbers that you think you’ll be missing out on are much lower. Just food for thought...Happy voting.

Yeah I feel bad for my buddies over at Delta. It must suck paying those union dues. Put me down for a pay cut please and vote NO for higher pay rates.

The blind, ignorant to the past gullibility is straight up impressive.

The only will that the pilot group has is the complete willingness to be imposed upon. It’s fine. I can’t wait for the losing battle to be over with either. But no, I don’t love it, and the industry bottom is not where I’m going to invest anymore of my career.
Again, it’s not personal. The union failed to deliver an industry average TA. They flew INC while the company bargained in bad faith. They brought us sub-prime-everything AND pbs, and they added proposterous PTC language that no one else has, and unlimited reassignment authority to go along with their new pbs staffing levels.
The sadly hilarious thing is that the qol CONCESSIONS that the MEC INCorporated is bringing us are actively being fought by other represented pilot groups!
So, what can I do but laugh at the shame, cash in on some more money in the meantime, and keep trying to get a nod from a respectable carrier.
P.s. $2 per diem.
P.s.s. If I’m wrong about all of this and still here to know I was wrong (look how it’s gone though..., how could I be) I’ll do more than more eat my words. But i think if you’re waiting for PBS to hear more good news you shouldn’t hold your breath.

There’s nothing to love about this private equity cesspool and it’s INC flying MEC.
