One argument used at the regionals and training contracts in general is that employees must be paid minimum wage. You cannot pay to be employed somewhere. Most regionals don’t come after people that failed training. Not sure on all the laws, so can’t give actual legal advice.

Good rule of thumb is to never take legal, financial or marital advice from a pilot.

I can attest that the 2nd week is all at home, about 3 hours via teams... whether your camera is on or not... but the class is recorded
