Who will say anything ? The CPO will.
A memo comes out explaining the additional jacket from the CP. Underlined is the exact details to be followed. And you suggest not following a policy, unless you're on probation of course. Cool..go looking for trouble. Excellent advice! Thanks!

It’s not that hard. It’s written out for you what you can wear in VOL 1. The “what ever I want” thought process is incorrect.

Personally, I like the London fog. Lots to chose from, looks more professional than that jacket IMO, keeps you warm, and stops 80% of the “ what’s your normal route?” questions on the commute. Plus no hat required.

Assuming 300 dollars and 1400 pilots its $420k. A drop in their bucket. Maybe a little goodwill from them would go a long way towards us "acting like professionals"

I think you're missing what I'm saying. I'm a blazer guy until the low teens or super blowing snow. Then I pull out the north face and put it on over the blazer for the walk around. That's it. Blazer only back in the airport or plane.

I think the added jacket option was necessary but it wasn’t required from the company. They must have a some motive, and I think that is too weed out uniform non-compliance. The jacket should be more functional for different types of weather - but for $179ish it is severely overpriced unless it breathes and repels water like GoreTex. I also think combining the wheel cap with this style jacket is going to look odd, but I’ll save final judgment for when I see it worn in person.
It is OPTIONAL, and if you’re already complying with uniform policy from the time you duty on Day1, to the time you duty off on Last Day, this will have no effect on you (unless you want it to). Commuting doesn’t count, you’re not on a trip. If you haven’t been complying with the current uniform policy (yes, that was me sometimes too), and you’re unwilling to make a change, then you’re not going to like what happens next. Me, I’ll just stay in compliance with the new options. I can afford the jacket if I decide to wear it, I don’t need an unpaid vacation because I couldn’t bare to spend $179 when I already have a nice (but non-uniform) jacket. It’s not like they’re asking me to dress like a garbage man. Choose your battles.
