The training dept has been told to prepare for big hiring next year. Frontier deferred some aircraft orders from this year to next, so 2021 will have a lot of new aircraft. I'm not sure how many passengers we will have to fly on those aircraft, but we will have the planes

We’re hiring check airmen because they are expecting a big hiring wave to come I think they were saying starting March. We have something around 20 planes coming next year due to the deferrals from this year. So it makes sense to go from furloughing to a huge hiring wave. Those guys aren’t really furloughed so it makes it easy to run thin and save money than bounce back almost instantly.

What I meant by that is they don’t have the same requalification process as if they had the “real furlough” the company keeps them qualified depending on what those guys have picked so the company has more freedom to bounce back when needed.

But if they are short on captains why force the Cola 35's back? Why not move the downgraded ones back to the left seat, and bringing back the right seat furloughs?
