Good thing we didn't blow this out of proportion and put thousands of pilots on the street.....

Remember who the enemy is here; the media. They are the reason we are in this position.

We're in this position solely because of idiots. Idiots in charge and idiots like yourself who blindly follow them.

I have little doubt that that is true, but the problem is, this country is packed full of folks with pre existing conditions or underlying health conditions. Every fat person you see has something that would put them in that category. Unfortunately, that's a TON of people and it doesn't make Covid less of a concern. At least not for the country as a whole.

The good news is, cases are trending down. Thank God

Because with a 6 month COLA, the company can be sure that those guys will be at 35 Hours for a full 6 months. The 3 and 1 month guys may elect not to re-up for the full duration, requiring the company to bring them back at full pay. Since each COLA 35 has a 1:1 reduction on the COLA-0s, the company runs the risk of not saving the money they need to if they don’t get a full subscription to the COLA 35s every month.

yeah it isn’t quite the bombshell it’s being made out to be. We’ve known all along that the folks most susceptible to dying if they got the virus were the ones with underlying health conditions. I would hazard a guess that the majority of the 94% would still be alive had they not contracted the virus. Sure there are those counted as virus deaths that probably died from something else but figuring out that percentage would require a much deeper analysis.

ALPA email out. More than 400 submissions, roughly 75% Captains. No break-downs on duration yet.

If I’m a guy that takes 6 one month cola-35s, (not wanting any longer commitment than that) what’s the difference? Possibly the company’s training/currency plan?
Let’s hope they keep offering the 1 month going forward as needed. Or better yet, start bringing guys back early and get the train rolling again👍
