There’s way more to this story.

It sure does not look like it from the video. I suspect that after the 18 month old was removed other adult passengers may have removed their masks in protest. During the removal process all adults are masked.

The video only shows the ejected passengers acting cooperative?! Shocking. Surely the video shows the entire story. People don’t just start behaving when being recorded do they?

Videos never show the whole truth. But, not a good look regardless.

It’s a PR loss simply because we live in a world where an increasing majority of people don’t value things like not jumping to conclusions, not assuming the worst in every situation, letting a process run its course, etc. Faux outrage in order to establish yourself before the mob as a virtuous defender of “justice” is now the only reaction that carries any social value. We as a society have lost our collective ideals of thinking and reason, and have moved fully into groupthink and emotion, with reasonable people more and more choosing to stay silent, lest they be attacked for being complicit in injustice.

completely agree. It was already becoming a problem pre pandemic but was put on steroids last year. I’m hopeful we can get back to more normalcy as the pandemic subsides. I think most people are starting to realize videos don’t tell a whole story. Imo education will be the key going forward.

It’s a byproduct of social media more than the pandemic. I’ve thought for a long time social media will do more harm than good.

Yup. Social media and a pandemic. What could go wrong? I kept hoping fb and tweeter were just a fad years ago and would go away. Unfortunately that never happened.

It's a PR loss simply because people have too much opinion in matters they have little to no experience as to how to properly handle it. As a person of any other culture, race or religion one should think twice before escalating issues which, as we know will immediately end up on twitter or other social media platforms. Where was the de-escalating effort here? This should not have been in the news. Whether you like it or not, we live in different times. Stay safe out there and be smart.

Pre pandemic I would tell the A fa if you let someone with thier kid up front during boarding tell them no video. I’ll be going back to that when we’re back to normal.
